Hardywood Gingerbread Stout

Hardywood Gingerbread Stout Beer Review HR Growler

Hardywood Gingerbread Stout

Imperial Milk Stout 9.2%

Appearance: Out of the bottle, this beer pours a dark chocolate color with a nugget-colored head. The head quickly diminishes.

Aroma: The aroma on this beer is powerful. Once the bottle is opened, the room is filled with the scent of Christmas cookies and holiday cheer. The ginger smells spicy and biting.

Taste: Do you remember those Little Debbie Gingerbread Men that went in your lunch box? That is exactly what this beer tastes like, with a hint of that vanilla frosting at the end.

Mouthfeel: The fresh local ginger in this beer definitely offers a bite, but not an offensive one. The feel of this beer is a bit thin for being so big and flavorful, probably because it’s a milk stout.

Drinkability: This holiday helper will very easily sneak up on you at 9.2%. The alcohol is almost undetectable, and it drinks like a dream. Definitely try to pair this with an apple pie or chocolate pie. You won’t be sorry.
